The United States Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics, between September 2007 and September 2008 62 million individuals ages 16 and over, volunteered for organizations in the United States (Connors, 2011, pg. 4). According to Connors, (2011) Milton Boyce’s model of volunteer management, commonly referred to as ISOTURE, is one of the most highly recognized models of volunteer management that focuses on volunteerism as leadership. The ISOTURE model has (7) concepts:

  • Identification
  • Selection
  • Orientation
  • Training
  • Utilization
  • Recognition
  • Evaluation

Many of the models of volunteer management are built on the early works of Boyce’s (7) concepts and the Training and Utilization concepts are the areas why people volunteer. During the Training concept the volunteer has an opportunity to grow and develop professionally by acquiring the company’s skills. During the Utilization concept the volunteer is able to showcase their skills by implementing their training in order to make a difference and be part of the solutions in a productive manner..

I would communicate upfront the volunteer policies, expectations and the company’s objectives and goals in order to help recruit volunteers during the Selection concept. During this stage the volunteer will be informed that they would be able to gain professional knowledge of the organization, help provide insight towards the process of policies, and become a community advocate. The volunteer will be introduced to staff during a tour of the facility, which encourages how they will fit into the work culture. Also during this stage the volunteer will be informed of their role on how they can help meet the company’s mission, how they will help build community partnerships, and how they can empower others in order to make a difference in someone else’s life. These techniques along with the Recognition concept, are motivating and empowering points of inclusion for the volunteer.

You can use the back of this page as scrap. I will not look at the back when grading this quiz, so you should present your complete answers by the questions. Consider the following numerical example of the simple Keynesian model with no government spending or taxes (all figures in $billions): C = 100 + 0.9 Y I = 50 a). What is the value of marginal propensity to consume (MPC) in this model? The marginal propensity to save (MPS)?

A brewery is considering two potential production investments.

A brewery is considering two potential production investments. Option A costs an initial $2 million and will involve constant marginal cost of $5 Option B costs an initial $4 million and will involve constant marginal cost of $3 In order to make the calculations simple, assume that the annual capital cost is 10% of the total investment. At what production quantity these two investment are opportunities?

Money and the Prices in the Long Run and Open Economies

Purpose of Assignment

Week 3 will help students develop an understanding of what money is, what forms money takes, how the banking system helps create money, and how the Federal Reserve controls the quantity of money. Students will learn how the quantity of money affects inflation and interest rates in the long run, and production and employment in the short run. Students will find that, in the long run, there is a strong relationship between the growth rate of money and inflation. Students will review the basic concepts macroeconomists use to study open economies and will address why a nation’s net exports must equal its net capital outflow. Students will demonstrate the relationship between the prices and quantities in the market for loanable funds and the prices and quantities in the market for foreign-currency exchange. Student will learn to analyze the impact of a variety of government policies on an economy’s exchange rate and trade balance.

Develop a 2,100-word economic outlook forecast that includes the following:

  • Analyze the history of changes in GDP, savings, investment, real interest rates, and unemployment and compare to forecast for the next five years.
  • Discuss how government policies can influence economic growth.
  • Analyze how monetary policy could influence the long-run behavior of price levels, inflation rates, costs, and other real or nominal variables.
  • Describe how trade deficits or surpluses can influence the growth of productivity and GDP.
  • Discuss the importance of the market for loanable funds and the market for foreign-currency exchange to the achievement of the strategic plan.
  • Recommend, based on your above findings, whether the strategic plan can be achieved and provide support.

Use a minimum of three peer-reviewed sources from the University Library.

ENG122: Respone to reading: time management and planning

I’m working on a English exercise and need support.

Response to Reading: Time Management and Planning [WLO: 1] [CLO: 2]

In this discussion, you’ll continue to refine your writing process. Through this discussion, you will develop a thoughtful time management plan for future writing assignments in college.

Prepare

Review the discussion grading criteria and read “Chronic Procrastination: Life Beyond Ineffective Time Management,” written by Joseph R. Ferrari in Chapter 4 of the College Writing Handbook. Use an active reading strategy, such as SQ3R, PQRST, or KWL, to comprehend the words and their meaning (See section 1.4 Reading Academic Materials).

Reflect

After reading Chapter 4, including “Chronic Procrastination,” reflect upon your experiences in this class. Think about your current writing process and how it may work for you (or against you) in future classes. Consider your biggest time management concerns and how you may be able to address them in the future.

Write

Describe your experience in class thus far. Did you feel organized and prepared or did you feel disorganized and unprepared? I felt disorganized and unprepared

Share your time-management techniques and how you may do things differently in the future. Identify strategies and ideas from Chapter 4 in College Writing Handbook that you will use to complete papers in your upcoming courses. I was late with assignments a few time due to working long hours

As you discuss time management, share your response to Ferrari’s article. Could you relate to the chronic procrastinators described in the article? Did the research surprise you? What did you learn from the article?

Remember to cite the source in APA style. For example:

Ferrari (2011/2018) said that “adult procrastinators more often claim they are ‘night’ people” (para. 8), which I could relate to.

While Ferrari (2011/2018) suggested that procrastination is related to time perception, I feel that my procrastination is not related to my perceptions of the past or the future.

End your post with a proper reference citation in APA style, too:
