Topic of discussion in the student’s attached post is about Families and Work in the US, which you must respond to. Your response to the student’s post must be minimum of 120 words, but no more than 200 words. You must engage with the student’s discussion – DO NOT just say, “I agree” as I will not be given any points for that.

Also, attached is the lecture and the reading about the topic, so that way you can be interactive with the points that the student made in the post.

Please write a personal, respectful and good quality response!

Instructions: Your initial discussion should be at least 200 words. It must include MLA citations – both in-text and an end citation. Please also respond to two of your classmates’ initial posts (students who have discussed different essays) and bring together pieces of the discussion and take those ideas further.  These responses should be at least 150 words.

Choose one of the “Persuasive American Speeches” listed in the “Supplemental Readings” section of the course lessons. Discuss purpose and the claim of the speech. Explain how the speech supports this claim (logos, ethos, and/or pathos). Is the opposing side mentioned? Also, describe the method of argumentation you believe is used in the speech (Toulmin? Rogerian? A mixture of both?). Give citations to back up your points, and create a final works cited citation for this essay.

200 words with references

In your response to your classmates, find a student who wrote about a different persuasive American speech, and comment on your classmate’s discussion of his/her chosen work. Do you agree with his or her analysis of this speech? Why? The ‘why’ is key – please post a rich response to your classmate.

Assignment 2: Instructional and Delivery Strategies

Due Week 6 and worth 240 points

In Assignment 1, you developed the instructional objectives for your project. Building on Assignment 1, you will create strategies that support the identified objectives and content. For this assignment, you will develop instructional strategies, delivery strategies, and the learner-related sequence. Use the Internet to locate resources that focus on different types of delivery strategies.

Write a six to eight (6-8) page paper in which you:

  1. Specify the learner-related sequencing related to your design strategy, including the sequence, description, and related objective.
  2. Create three (3) instructional learning strategies that clearly correlate with the learning objectives and instructional content created in Assignment 1.
  3. Determine three (3) examples of instructional strategies that are appropriate based on the learner analysis.
  4. Create an instructional message for the content. Specify the function, content structure, learner, and task attributes as they relate to your project.
  5. Analyze the learning objectives and select two (2) appropriate delivery strategies. Provide a rationale for your selection.
  6. Analyze the instructional context and select two (2) appropriate delivery strategies. Provide a rationale for your selection.
  7. Analyze the instructional strategies and select two (2) appropriate delivery strategies. Provide a rationale for your selection.
  1. Include at least three (3) references (no more than ten [10] years old) from material outside the textbook. Note: Appropriate academic resources include reputable Websites, scholarly texts, and peer-reviewed articles. Wikipedia and other wikis do not qualify as academic resources.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

  • Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
  • Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.

The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:

  • Create instructional and training products.
  • Design lessons, systems, and sequences for instruction.
  • Implement instructional and training products.
  • Apply technologies to design or change instructional products, strategies, systems, and   programs.
  • Use technology and information resources to research issues in instructional design and development.
  • Write clearly and concisely about issues in instructional design and development using proper writing mechanics.

Additionally, attached is the Week 6 Assignment 2 sample paper. Please pay very close attention to the APA format of the papers and please use the EXACT format of the sample paper. when you develop your own paper. In other words, use the sample papers as a template to develop your own paper. Each paper that is submitted MUST include the exact same headings as the sample papers. The headings should be placed above each paragraph as shown in the sample papers.  In-text citations and source integration must also be embedded throughout the papers. Remember, if in-text citations and source integration is not included in your papers, it implies that you have plagiarized your work. In addition, ALL papers MUST be in APA style with a cover page, a running header, and a reference page. References should not be older than 10 years and ALL references must include a year of publication or a date that it was retrieved. ALL papers MUST be typed and doubled spaced using Times New Roman size 12 font. Again, it will be very important to review the assignment requirements and expectations for each major paper that will be submitted.  You will have attempts at submitting your paper via the blackboard system. If your paper is not submitted in the EXACT format as the sample papers which also includes being submitted in PDF, it will not be graded and you will be asked to re-submit it in the correct format so that is can be graded properly.   Additionally, PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL ANY ASSIGNMENTS TO ME. ALL PAPER ASSIGNMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN PDF THROUGH THE BLACKBOARD PLATFORM TO BE GRADED USING THE BLACKBOARD PDF GRADING TOOL.  ANY ASSIGNMENTS SUBMITTED TO ME VIA EMAIL WILL NOT BE GRADED. IT IS THE STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILTY TO MAKE SURE THAT ASSIGNMENTS ARE SUBMITTED (UPLOADED) TO BLACKBOARD PROPERLY (Correct APA format and in PDF).  Lastly, please do not ask to resubmit your papers for a higher grade, such requests will not be granted.

paper about Police brutality

I don’t know how to handle this Writing question and need guidance.

paper about Police brutality

Think of this as a Part B to your persuasive paper, except that this time you’re researching a cause you disagree with.

You will give a 4-7 minute speech about your research- choosing either a persuasive speech based on your previous paper, or an informational speech based on this assignment- delivered in class on Wednesday, 26 February.

This paper is an opportunity for you to research a controversial subject- defined here as having more than one clearly identifiable argument- but you will research the side you disagree with.

Don’t argue, don’t try to persuade, only seek to understand.

There are a broad range of subjects to choose from but, by definition, conflict as at least two sides. Your informational paper must do at least three things:

  1. Identify the issue
  2. Identify the two, or more, conflicting perspectives on the issue.
  3. Describe without advocating or condemning the side you disagree with.
  4. cite a minimum of two sources
  5. upload your paper here as a PDF by 24February.

Rather than a conventional research paper, we’re going to use a corporate memo structure called BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front). Imagine that you are a communication adviser to some sort boss who is very interested to learn about these issues, but is too busy to do the research personally. They’ve entrusted you to give them a very clear understanding of this issue- and to suggest how they should feel about the subject.

The BLUF format is essentially the email you would send your boss at the end of this assignment.

An example, say I chose the Sovereign Citizenship movement, would be:

BLUF: The Sovereign Citizenship movement advocates that Americans should not have to pay taxes, among other freedoms that run counter to the ideas of the US judicial system. [limit yourself to one sentence and do not advocate]

Background: Here, I would explain the background, based on research, of where the Sovereign Citizenship movement came from.

Conflict: In this paragraph, I would briefly describe the side that I am researching, without advocating. For example, maybe the US Court System has historically struck down challenges from the Sovereign Citizenship movement. Find a spokesperson and cite research to explain this perspective.

Belief #1: Give us facts about the movement you disagree with- without advocating.

Belief #2: Give us facts about the movement you disagree with- without advocating.

Belief #3: Give us facts about the movement you disagree with- without advocating.

Conclusion: This is the closing 3-5 paragraphs that summarize what your boss should know about this controversial topic.

References: Cite a minimum of two credible sources who discuss this issue.

Students will give a 4-7 minute speech on their topic on 26 February.
