Writing essay -05

I’m trying to study for my Writing course and I need some help to understand this question.

Choose ONE ! of the following essays for your response:

1. “The Dark Knight and the Evilness of Evil” by Ashley Cocksworth

2. “The Exceptional Darkness of The Dark Knight” by Todd McGowan

3. “What do you believe in? Film scholarship and the cultural politics of the Dark Knight franchise” by Martin Fradley

Write a summary and response essay.

  1. The summary section of your essay (200-300 words) should clearly and objectively present the main ideas, as well as the important sub-points, of the essay you have chosen to write about. The summary should be written almost entirely in your words; only use particularly important quotations when they are necessary to your summary. The response section of your essay (400-600 words) should include an original idea as its main thesis. While the summary is objective, the response is subjective and presents your ideas on the subject. The response can take one of the following forms:
  2. (1) an explanation of your agreement or disagreement with the author’s claim (s)
(If you choose to agree, you must go beyond simply saying you feel similarly by presenting new information or reasons that you feel the author’s position should be supported.)
  3. (2) an evaluation of the author’s presentation of his or her argument. Your response should present evidence from your own knowledge and experience to support your argument. You do not need to use additional sources in this essay.

Length: 700-900 words ( 2 1⁄2 – 4 pages)

Turning in your work: Along with your final essay, turn in the annotation and the outline you have made about the article you are responding to, and any process work you have done while writing this essay. Compile all components of the essay into one Word document, and upload to BeaconLearning (directions to follow).

interview

Each student is to conduct an interview about managerial supervision with a business professional in an industry of your choice.  You should contact the individual early in the semester, so that you will have flexibility and time to schedule the interview, conduct the interview, and allow sufficient time to write the reflection paper by the due date.

IMPORTANT!  When you contact the individual, please be courteous and professional during the entire process.  Explain that you are completing an assignment for Industrial Supervision and are interested in scheduling approximately thirty minutes to meet and discuss their experiences as a supervisor within their field.  Be on time for your interview, whether it is conducted in person or over the phone.  Finally, make sure to thank the individual after the interview, which always helps in maintaining strong professional contacts.  Send a Thank You note as soon as the interview is complete.

·       The first document will consist of actual interview results/notes.  In all likelihood, you will be taking notes by hand and, thus, will have a handwritten document.  You may scan this document or take an image of it, perhaps with your smart phone, and place it in the provided digital drop box space.

·       Subsequently, each student must also submit a reflection paper.  This paper should synthesize what you have learned from the interview.  While the summary will not necessarily be exhaustive, it should include key content from the interview questions that you consider the most relevant as well as your personal reactions to or thoughts on what was covered.

Communication Paper

  • Provide extensive additional information on the topic
  • Explain, define, or analyze the topic in detail
  • Share an applicable personal experience
  • Provide an outside source that applies to the topic, along with additional information about the topic or the source (please cite properly in APA)

Worst case scenario

I’m stuck on a Computer Science question and need an explanation.

What’s the Worst That Could Happen? (25 points)

This is a question you should (and will be) asking yourself as you take on a security officer role. Quite honestly, this statement could become your undoing if you do not think it through or try to avoid answering such a question; however, the extreme “voice of doom” is not one you will be visiting very often. You should be evaluating the possible circumstances and ask yourself the above question as it pertains to something that could happen, such as a fire or user error.

For this exercise, you should think about a local company (one which you work or have worked) or a fake marketing firm in Kansas City Missouri. Ask yourself this question as you think through what they have and what could be lost. Think of a minimum of 7 threats to this network (one for each of the 7 IT Infrastructure Domains [pg.7]) and describe “What’s the Worst That Could Happen?” if these threats came true. For the threats, you should think of 5 within the realm of possibility and 2 on the fringe of possibilities.

Organize this response as an APA formatted paper. For each threat, you should write at least one paragraph responding to the question to each threat.

Course Outcomes Assessed:

1. Identify and define risk and risk management techniques.

5. Identify and evaluate threats, vulnerabilities, countermeasures, and mitigation recommendations.

Minimum 3 peer reviewed articles for reference.

Paper must include- abstract, introduction , content/body, conclusion, references
