Topic: We all had the unfortunate experience of seeing how computers can, at times, make life’s journey about more difficult. This is especially true in knowledge centric workplaces. Describe an example of a very poorly implemented database that you’ve encountered (or read about) that illustrates the potential for really messing things up. Include, in your description, an analysis of what might have caused the problems and potential solutions to them. Be sure to provide citations from the literature.

Discussion post should be about 300 words with 2-3 APA citations and matching references.

Sociology Analysis 1 page paper due today

I need help with a Sociology question. All explanations and answers will be used to help me learn.

Throughout the semester, you will find and then analyze articles that exemplify any 10 concepts (or 5, if you’re doing Service Learning) from our list of options, which are drawn primarily from Best’s book. If there is a concept that you want to explore that isn’t on this list, please consult with me to see if we can make it a possibility!

An article can only be used once, and are ideally from this calendar year. Articles should be found in newspapers; in news magazines such as Time, Newsweek, and U.S. News and World Report; or on online news sites such as CNN.com, FoxNews.com, and ABCNews.com.

Note that you can select a troubling condition of interest to stick to all semester, or you can switch it up constantly and have each of your analyses be on different troubling conditions. Whichever approach you choose, I recommend that you find a troubling condition, or multiple troubling conditions, that you’re passionate about and want to learn more about during your internet searches for articles!

For each analysis, please be sure to explain/define the concept and make clear connections between the concept and the article. Quoting should be kept to a minimum, and each analysis should be about 1.5-2 pages double-spaced. Check out this sample analysis to get a sense of what’s expected for each of these analyses.

assignment, consider something that you have mastered and that you do frequently. Your choice can be something that you do for work, home, or fun. It can also be something that you do well as a volunteer for your community or civic organization. The choice and process steps of the activity that you choose to present must be original work. Use the rhetorical mode of the process analysis to conduct a process analysis of the steps one would need to follow to complete the activity.

Literature Review Resources

I’m stuck on a Social Science question and need an explanation.

Successful completion of a doctoral dissertation requires significant amounts of independent reading on the research topic. This allows the doctoral learner/researcher to become familiar with the scope of the topic and to identify gaps or tensions within the existing literature on the topic. These gaps and tensions become the source of the dissertation research. In this assignment, you will read and annotate potential sources in your dissertation field of interest. Those demonstrating the most merit to the best of your understanding of the topic at this time should be added to your RefWorks list for potential inclusion in the literature review section of your dissertation.

General Requirements:

Use the following information to ensure successful completion of the assignment:

  1. Locate the assignment submission for “Literature Review Resources” from your previous course. You will be adding to this document to begin building a running literature review.
  2. It is recommended that you engage in this activity throughout the duration of this course.
  3. Instructors will be scoring your submission based on the number of unique sources identified in the list submitted.
  4. Download the resource Literature Review Resources Tool and use it to complete the assignment.
  5. Doctoral learners are required to use APA style for their writing assignments. The APA Style Guide is located in the Student Success Center.
  6. Refer to the resource, “Preparing Annotated Bibliographies,” located in the Student Success Center, for additional guidance on completing this assignment in the appropriate style.

Directions:

Read at least 10 empirical articles in your general dissertation field that you have not read previously.

In the “Literature Review Resources” document that you submitted in the previous course, provide the following for each source that you are adding to the document:

  1. The APA-formatted citation.
  2. A brief annotation of the key points of the source.
  3. An indication of whether the source has been added to (Y) or excluded from (N) your RefWorks list.

Highlight the additions to the document so your instructor can readily identify them.

Attached below is the document to complete.

Borrowed Theories Guiding Practice

Nursing makes use of theories from other disciplines (a.k.a., borrowed theories). How does using borrowed theory support the development of nursing theory?

Class,

We are all aware of the fact that basic nursing courses only mention nursing theories in broad and general terms and there is little focus on their application to practice. This is changing as nursing educators increase the levels of thinking and knowledge expected of a registered nurse.

The same cannot be said for borrowed theories. Borrowed theories are discussed and applied as the student nurse begins to develop the knowledge and skills for safe, effective nursing care. How do we determine the priorities of our actions? Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. What do we know about the individual coping styles that protect the personality from anxiety? Freud’s defense mechanisms. Our reading this week reflects theories that advanced nurses have borrowed from the fields of sociological sciences and learning theories.

In this thread you will respond to and discuss: Nurses make use of theories from other disciplines (a.k.a. borrowed theories). How does using borrowed theory support the development of nursing theory?

The course outcome that will be used to guide the learning process is:

• Analyze theories from nursing and relevant fields with respect to their components, relationships among the components, logic if the presentations, comprehensiveness, and utility to advanced nursing

Gordon Rule 4 Paragraph

Thomas Jefferson (Paraphrasing Aristotle) once said “There is nothing more unequal than the equal treatment of unequal people.” Some argue that it is not fair to treat all people the same, since all people are not the same, respond to this idea by agreeing or disagreeing.

Please provide 4 paragraphs due tonight 7/7/2017 at 8pm eastern time.

In order to receive credit for completing this task you must:

•   Choose an unanswered question (with an answer between 20-50 words; any source information does not count towards the word count)

•   Provide a viable, complete answer (if you use a source other than the textbook to answer the question, you must provide a link or other clear credit to the source)
