Hello Class,
For my research, I decided to go with childhood autism and how brain development shows the early signs of it. This article talks about the brain of infants and toddlers who have early on autism and how their brains have developed differently than a normal child. They talk about how the brain will change more through the stages of life and how some children’s autism will worsen while others remain the same. There is no way of telling how it will progress and the symptoms of this illness well only progressively get more noticeable or even worsen the child grows up. If a child with autism does not show signs of it as an infant then it is likely that as they come into the toddler stages of life they will start showing more and more signs of the illness since they were born with this it’s not something that just shows up as a common cold or cancer. It is all what the child is born with and where they will lie on the spectrum of autism. There is no cure to this illness it’s just learning how to manage the child and what will help them through their life. This article also talked about the statistics of a child on a case by case bases. They will take brain images of each child and discuss the diagnosis and how they determine the diagnosis.

Hello Classmates, Dr.Deris
Last Forum for this Class it has been great. I truly have enjoyed each of you and wish everyone the best. My research on Infants and Toddlers Scholarly Review Article that I chose was Autism Spectrum Disorder. My topic of Discussion Comparison of Autism Screening in Younger and Older Toddlers. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental disability that will affects the child communication and behavior. Autism appear in the first two years of life. Whenever testing and screening comes the study will show and examine the effect of age at the completion of an Autism Screening test on items that was done and the rate was at a failure. Contrasting older(>20 months) with younger (<20 months) toddlers in a primary care with about 73,564 children can sample this as part of participants in which each one will be broken down in the experiment and placed in the proper category for proper observation and research. The main goal for this will be Autism Screening, M-CHAT, Developmental-Screening- Test development. It is recommended that all children get tested and screened early for Autism. (AAP 2006 CDC 2015)
Autism Spectrum Disorder screen Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (M-CHAT) (Robins et.al) M_Chat is a tool recommended for ASD screening by AAP (2006) and major advocacy group such as Autism Speaks (2016). The procedures that will be used will be methods and participants, data was collected and screening were split into two age group. This will be discussed further in my paper. The Method Analysis,Results Discussion and Conclusion of the Research will all be provided and broken down accordingly.
In conclusion it is best for infants and toddlers to be screened early before the age of two for Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as the testing to make sure that they don’t have the disability
