Discussion 12: Sharing Student Work and Final Thoughts
Can you help me understand this History question?
Our last forum will be a chance for students to share work they have done and share final thoughts about what you have learned and how you have developed during the course.
If you share something you have written for the course, please post it as an attachment with a brief note about what it is and why you think it is a good sample of your work. You might reflect on how the work reflects on your growth as a writer and as a historian.
You might also think of skills you have been working on such as writing, reading, time management, and critical thinking. You might also want to share some perspectives on what you have learned about cultures of the world, global concerns, and ways that humanity has tried to solve problems.
You do not need to share a sample, though I encourage everyone to do so. It doesn’t matter if it is a great piece of work. What matters is students can possibly learn something from it and share comments. Students benefit from getting feedback. When you give feedback to other students, please give specific examples of how you benefited from reading the work.
This forum is officially worth 10 points and students can get up to 20 points if they put extra into it. Each post is worth up to five points. At least one post must be a response to another student.
Please make sure you post something in the forum (either a new thread or a response to another student) by December 6. The forum will remain open to the end of December 9 to allow for more interactions.
